Product Review – Biosilk Silk Therapy

Hey, everyone! I’m back with another product review for you.

As some of you may know, Anime North took place this weekend in Toronto, and I went. I spent about five hours in a salon with a friend of mine, and the girl doing her hair put some of this in my hair. I ended up letting her bleach it (with an ammonia-free product that her salon offers ♥ ) Anyway, she finished my hair and gave a bottle of this product to us to split on an incredible discount!

So, with my hair now blonde and this bottle of liquid gold, I was ready for the convention. I proceeded to colour my hair like a rainbow for my cosplay, which fried my hair further. The damage was no where near as bad because of the ammonia-free product and the immediate use of Biosilk after the bleaching. I’ve been using it every day since, and it only takes a dime-sized amount to cover my hair. My hair is soft, shiny, straight and so manageable. I haven’t had to straighten it like I usually do, because it has been air drying perfectly straight for my comfort. My hair colour is lasting longer, too.

To sum up this short review, Biosilk is wonderful. I haven’t encountered a downside apart from its cost. If your hair is fried and breaking, or just frizzy, I recommend giving this product a try. It handles beautifully in humid weather, keeping your hair nice and smooth. All in all, I’m pretty content. Even though a single bottle of this is approximately 50$, it lasts about a year of daily use in moderate amounts.

My new hair! I have to colour it black again for work, though.
